Attorney Jen Clouse is a Member at Illumine Legal and primarily assists clients with estate planning. Her practice focuses on foundational estate planning, which includes drafting wills, revocable trusts, medical powers of attorney, financial powers of attorney, guardianship appointments for minors, living wills, and dispositions of last remains. Additionally, Jen’s experience includes drafting marital and cohabitation agreements. She also works on trust and estate administration matters with clients, representing fiduciaries or beneficiaries. Jen works with the firm’s tax planning practice by preparing tax returns like the Form 709 U.S. Gift (and GST) Tax Return and Form 706 Estate (and GST) Tax Return. She enjoys helping clients navigate the complexities of thoughtful estate planning. It is important to Jen that she provides her clients with peace of mind and a harmonious estate plan that will help make things as easy as possible for their loved ones. She is licensed to practice law in both Colorado and Wyoming.
Jen enjoys being involved and volunteering her time in the local legal community. She is a board member on the Denver Estate Planning Council, where she enjoys the opportunity to expand her estate planning education year round. Jen maintains a close relationship with the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she is a member of the Alumni Council. She works with professionals at the law school and fellow alumni in efforts to improve the law school experience for students, provide opportunities for alumni and law students to connect, and find ways to contribute to the advancement of the Colorado legal community. She is also a mentor in the law school’s Professional Mentoring Program, where she volunteers her time to help students navigate law school and enter the legal profession.
Jen is originally from New Jersey and is an enthusiastic Philadelphia Eagles fan. She enjoys visiting National Parks and spending time in the mountains skiing, hiking, and camping with her husband and kids.
